Billy Mays has nothing on this kid.

Saw this commercial on Saturday and was absolutely flabbergasted.

Seriously, is that not the best commercial you’ve seen in the past three years at least? I don’t want to spoil anything for thsoe who haven’t seen this thing yet, but there are at least five or six lines during the ad where you wonder, “did he just say what I think he said?” then you rewind the Tivo and discover that yes, he did indeed say that. And it’s clear that the pitchman knows fully well that he sounds and acts like a complete dork the entire time and plays it to the hilt – watch the extra little pose he makes at the very end.

If nothing else, think of it this way: commercials succeed when they stand out from the group, whether it’s by humor, impact or utter annoyance – witness the Head-On phenomenon that took place a couple years ago. Sure, you might think that this commercial was utterly obnoxious, but I’ll bet that you’ll remember the product, and ultimately that’s all that matters.

I agree with everyone else. Saw it when I was in Ohio last weekend, and frankly, I did a double take as well.
I live with a German couple, BTW, and they do agree with ShamWOW! in that Germans do make the best stuff.
